Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.

Reiki healing facilitates healing of the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of the human person. Reiki is a gentle but powerful healing energy which permeates the client’s being. It is non-invasive and relaxes the client and helps the client to heal and rebalance themselves and stimulates the healing energies of the body.

Reiki is simply the ‘laying of hands (in a non-intrusive manner) on, or slightly above, the body so the energy can flow through the practitioner as a channel and to the client. It is this flow of energy which facilitates the unique ability of the body to heal itself. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The great thing about reiki is that one does not have to be ill to experience the benefits. You can use it as a preventive measure, for relaxation and for relief from emotional stress. The main purpose of reiki practice is not only to heal diseases, but also to promote a positive mind and healthy body so that people can experience joy in life.
